Bill payments and card settlement
Your credit card,
where it doesn't
normally reach.
Electricity and broadband. Rent and society maintenance. School fees. Vendor invoices. Nexdha charges your credit card and pays the biller by bank transfer, so the money leaves your account on your card's due date instead of today. Debit cards and UPI work too, when you would rather just settle it now.
Android, on Google Play. No subscription, and you see the exact fee before you confirm anything.
What you can pay
Anything with a bank account on the other side. If the biller is on our network we fetch the outstanding amount for you; if not, you enter the amount and account details once and we remember them.

How a payment works
Three steps the first time, one step after that.
-
01
Add the bill
Choose the category and enter the consumer number, account number or UPI handle. For billers on our network we pull the current outstanding amount and the due date. Everything else you enter once and it stays saved.
-
02
Choose how to pay
A credit card if you want the extra weeks, a debit card or UPI if you would rather be done with it. Cards on Visa, Mastercard, RuPay and American Express from any Indian issuer. You approve it the way you always do, and the fee is on screen before you confirm.
-
03
We settle to the biller
Funds go out as IMPS, NEFT or RTGS to the biller's bank account. You get a receipt with the UTR the same day, which is the reference the biller and your accountant will both ask for.
Utility billers are usually credited within one working day. Rent, fees and invoices are credited the same day if you pay before 4 PM IST, otherwise the next working day.
Why route a bill
through a card
The card was always there. The biller just had no way to accept it.
- The money stays with you for a cycle
- A bill paid on the 3rd against a card that closes on the 25th sits on the statement for a month, then gets a grace period on top. Up to 45 interest-free days, using credit you have already been given.
- Spends that never counted, now count
- Rent, fees and utility bills are usually the largest outgoings of the month and the ones your card never sees. Routed through Nexdha they earn the same points and push you towards annual fee waivers and milestone benefits.
- One place the records live
- Every payment carries a receipt, the UTR and the beneficiary details. Filter by month, category or biller and export to CSV or Tally. Month end reconciliation becomes a search instead of a hunt through screenshots.
- Recurring bills you stop thinking about
- Set a standing instruction for anything that repeats. We remind you three days before the debit, and skip the run if the balance on the bill is nil.
For businesses on a tight cycle
Most small businesses are not short of money, they are short of it in the second week. Paying suppliers on the card and settling the card at the end of the cycle buys the time the receivables need.
Working capital without a loan
Use the limit already sanctioned on your business card. No new facility, no collateral, no fresh credit assessment, nothing added to the balance sheet.
Vendors paid the way they want
Suppliers receive a straightforward bank transfer with your name and invoice number in the narration. Nothing changes for them, and they do not need to sign up for anything.
More than one person, safely
Add your accounts team with maker and checker roles, per user limits and an approval step above an amount you set. Every action is logged against a name.
Fees
One convenience fee on the transaction, and nothing else.
The fee depends on the category and on how you pay. Whatever it works out to, you see the exact rupee amount on the confirmation screen before anything is charged, alongside the bill amount and the total. Nothing is added afterwards.
- GST at 18% applies on the convenience fee, not on the bill amount.
- No joining fee, no annual fee, no subscription and no minimum monthly volume.
- If a payment fails, nothing is charged.
- If a biller rejects a credit, the full amount comes back to the card or account it came from.
- Businesses paying larger monthly volumes are on a negotiated rate. Ask us.
Handling of money
and card data
Short version: we never hold your card number, and we never hold your money longer than the settlement takes.
- We do not store your card number
- Card details are entered on the payment gateway's own page, not ours, and the full number never reaches a Nexdha server. There is nothing for us to lose because we never hold it in the first place.
- Every payment is authenticated by your bank
- Each transaction goes through your bank or UPI app for approval. We cannot move money on your behalf without you confirming it there first, which is the point.
- Traffic is encrypted end to end
- Everything between the app and our servers travels over TLS, and account data is encrypted where it is stored. Access to it inside the company is restricted to the people whose work requires it.
- A trail you can pull any time
- Bank reference for every settlement and a downloadable statement for any period. Records are kept for as long as Indian financial and tax law requires, and no longer than that.
How this works in detail, including what we collect and how long we keep it, is set out in the privacy policy.
Questions people actually ask
Is paying rent or fees on a credit card allowed?
Yes. You are paying for a service and the beneficiary receives a normal bank transfer. What is not allowed, by your card agreement and by us, is using the card to move money to yourself or to raise cash. Payments to your own accounts are blocked, and we ask for the rent agreement or fee notice on larger transfers.
Will this be treated as a cash advance by my bank?
No. It reaches your statement as a normal purchase from a merchant category, so there is no cash advance fee and no interest from day one. It also means the spend counts towards reward points and milestones.
Does the fee cancel out the reward points?
Sometimes, and we would rather you worked it out than took our word. On a card returning about 1% in value, a 1% fee is roughly a wash and you are paying for the deferral and the record keeping. On a card with accelerated categories, a milestone you are close to, or a fee waiver in sight, it is comfortably ahead. The number is on screen before you confirm.
How long until the biller sees the money?
Utility billers are credited within one working day. Rent, fees and invoices go out the same day if you pay before 4 PM IST. You get the UTR as soon as the transfer leaves, which is what the biller needs to trace it.
What if the payment fails halfway?
If your card is charged and the transfer does not go through, the amount is returned to the same card, including the fee. Card refunds take 5 to 7 working days to appear, which is your bank's timeline rather than ours. Nothing needs to be claimed and no ticket needs to be raised.
Is there a limit?
Your card limit is the practical ceiling. On top of that we apply per transaction and monthly caps that start conservative and open up as your account builds history. Business accounts are reviewed individually. Large one off payments can be cleared in advance if you tell us beforehand.
Which cards and payment methods work?
Credit cards, debit cards and UPI. Cards on Visa, Mastercard, RuPay and American Express, issued in India. Corporate and business cards work, and some commercial cards need a one time approval from the issuer. Debit cards and UPI debit your bank straight away, so you get the receipt and the single record without the credit period. Most people use a credit card for the large bills and UPI for the small ones.
Set up an account in a few minutes
Download Nexdha from Google Play. You will need your PAN and a mobile number linked to your bank. Businesses also need GST and a certificate of incorporation. Verification is usually done the same working day.
